Basil Pesto with Pine Nuts
This classic pesto features all of the traditional favorites - fresh basil, olive oil, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, and garlic. You can enjoy it on pasta or even mixed with mayo as a sandwich spread!

2 cups fresh basil loosely packed 2 garlic cloves coarsely chopped ¼ cup pine nuts or walnuts ½ cup parmesan cheese shredded or shaved ½ cup olive oil Salt and pepper to taste
In a food processor, add the basil, garlic, pine nuts, and parmesan cheese.
Pulse until the fresh basil is in small pieces. Pour in the olive oil and pulse until combined. Season with salt and pepper based on your liking.
Pesto can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Leftovers may also be frozen.
